NB: The Australian Psychological Society recommends a fee of $311 for a standard session.
Medicare.
*A valid referral letter from a GP or Psychiatrist currently grants access to a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per session with a Clinical Psychologist (max. 10 sessions per calendar year, with subsequent referrals). Valid at the time of writing - subject to change.
$250.00 - $141.85 = $108.15 out-of-pocket per consultation.
Private Health Insurance.
You may also be able to claim rebates through your Private Health Insurance. Please note:
Medicare does not allow dual claiming; You must choose either Medicare or your Private Health Insurer for each session.
It is advised that you check with your Private Health Insurer first to make sure you are eligible.
The practice will provide you with a paid invoice for lodging the claim with your insurer following your session.
All appointments are 50-minutes in length, including the initial assessment session. Sessions may be held either in-person at the practice or online.
Saturday appointments are considered ‘after-hours’ and, from 1 January 2025, will attract an additional surcharge of $20. Until then, the same rate will apply for all appointments, regardless of day.
